Devonte Hynes, formerly of Test Icicles and current owner of the Lightspeed Champion moniker, says I guess I finished recording the new album, kind of… I’m a huge fan of Hynes first Lightspeed record, Falling off the Lavender Bridge. I was fortunate enough to see him play to a crowd of ~20-30 people at Seattle’s Chop Suey. Surely the public at large has woken up since then. If that news isn’t enough, Hynes went on to say Also, I should inform everyone, that i’ve just started on ANOTHER album to hopefully be released not too long after this next Lightspeed record. Hynes also recently published a short story entitled The KKK Took My Baby Away. If you’re familiar with the artist’s previous work, that title isn’t shocking at all.
